Editorial Review:
Product Description: The Secret Curse Surrenders focuses on the powerful spontaneity of emotions more so than the factual events of Christian Cloud Abraham's life, building a narcotic mood of longing for the past, losing himself in a psychological labyrinth and moments of epiphany through romancing writing and old typewriters.
Taken from journals written between the years of 1992 and 2002, in Phoenix, Arizona, Portland, Oregon, and Elizabeth, New Jersey, The Secret Curse Surrenders explores the fears of the oncoming digital age, excessive drinking, fatalistic uncertainty, aging, loss, and the acquiescence of it all.
Injected throughout the book are prose and fictitious sketches that complete the work, creating an intimate encounter with a writer who will disturb and inspire all at once.
