I was especially interested to learn this story took place in the state where I live. It grabbed my interest and I couldn't put it down. The writing was so well done, I felt I was living in the story. I wanted my friends to read it, so I bought several as a gifts and one to loan out (I didn't want to take a chance of loosing my own copy). Thank you for such a wonderful insight into Oklahoma's past.

I couldn't put it down! But, being as I only read it at the dinner table, I probably gained a few pounds just to read it! The recipes are good, and the secret youth face cream is something my whole family will try!

This book brought tears and smiles to my face at the same time. It brought back memories of the stories my Grandma and Mom told me. You feeling like you are living it along with family members.
When you read this you want to settle down all comfy and cozy, maybe with the fire going and let it take you back in time.
The receipe's included are wonderful and "down home cooking".
Famished Heart is a wonderful, heart warming story of real people.
